Bridges can be built from either wood or stone; they allow folks to cross liquid without drowning, but cannot support other construction such as doors, torches, etc. Nevertheless, they’re important to allow Small folks to pass liquids, larger folks to pass deep water, and everyone who isn’t currently flying to pass lava.
Wooden bridges will burn over lava; unlike Dungeon Keeper 2, KeeperRL AI avoids burning tiles, so best to stick with stone.
